Miss Amber

  • 2nd Degree Black Belt
  • My parents enrolled me in karate in August of 2004 to learn self defense. They chose Bartlinski’s Karate Supercenter because of the long time span it had been open for. I really didn’t want to take karate classes at first because it never seemed like something that I would be interested in. But it didn’t take long for me to find that karate is not only challenging and rewarding, but to my surprise, something that I was good at. About halfway to my Black Belt I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue with classes, but the instructors helped me understand that karate can be repetitive and tedious but sometimes that is the only way to improve and that is a life lesson that I learned from karate. Now that I am a Black belt, I take pride in all that I did to get to where I am now.

Teaching karate combines all I have learned throughout the journey of achieving my black belt with motivation and discipline. Learning karate inspired me to be the best I can be in every aspect of my life and I want to show all who have a similar interest in karate everything I have learned and gained since I first started to learn martial arts.

Karate promotes discipline, self defense, good character, focus and a lot of confidence. Upon starting karate you will learn that karate is also a journey to achieving black belt excellence and a healthier lifestyle. Through this black belt excellence you will be inspired, motivated and be able to conquer any goals wished to be accomplished. I believe karate to be a lot more fun and challenging (also it’s a great work out!) than simply taking up a sport.
