Miss Amber
My parents enrolled me in karate in August of 2004 to learn self defense. They chose Bartlinski’s Karate Supercenter because of the long time span it had been open for. I really didn’t want to take karate classes at first because it never seemed like something that I would be interested in. But it didn’t take long for me to find that karate is not only challenging and rewarding, but to my surprise, something that I was good at. About halfway to my Black Belt I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue with classes, but the instructors helped me understand that karate can be repetitive and tedious but sometimes that is the only way to improve and that is a life lesson that I learned from karate. Now that I am a Black belt, I take pride in all that I did to get to where I am now.
Teaching karate combines all I have learned throughout the journey of achieving my black belt with motivation and discipline. Learning karate inspired me to be the best I can be in every aspect of my life and I want to show all who have a similar interest in karate everything I have learned and gained since I first started to learn martial arts.
Karate promotes discipline, self defense, good character, focus and a lot of confidence. Upon starting karate you will learn that karate is also a journey to achieving black belt excellence and a healthier lifestyle. Through this black belt excellence you will be inspired, motivated and be able to conquer any goals wished to be accomplished. I believe karate to be a lot more fun and challenging (also it’s a great work out!) than simply taking up a sport.
